Borough Green is a large village and civil parish in the Tonbridge and Malling District of Kent, situated around the junction of the A25 and A227. The main village is situated on the A25 road between Maidstone and Sevenoaks. Its location at a crossroads (where the old route from Gravesend to Hastings crossed) meant that inns were gradually opened to form its centre, being an ideal spot for wheelwrights and blacksmiths. The villages name describes what it originally was – the green to which the people of what was then the borough of Wrotham went for recreation.

There is a great selection of affordable two and three bedroomed family homes in and around the Borough Green area, making this a excellent town in which to live and bring up a young family.

Well positioned in terms of communication, Borough Green is close to the M26 and within easy reach of the M25 to the west and M20 to the east, hence a village well– served by road networks and in close commuting range of the capital. The main line station at Borough Green provides a quick service to London.

The River Bourne flows through the southern part of the parish, formerly powering a paper mill nearby. An early 17th–century house is located one mile to the east of the village and its gardens are open to the public. The village boasts its own primary and nursery schools, a cinema, library, football, cricket and tennis clubs and three churches – Anglican, Baptist and Roman Catholic.
